Some New Perspective this 2015

You might be wondering why I opted to post this suppose to be New Year write ups on this month of March. =) Too much of the queries, the fact is…  I was just reminded and encouraged to continue doing my blog! (which I already forgotten..haha) by a good friend and I realized I missed writing.

So… (drum beats roll) here it is.

1. Travel Some More Countries with a HOLIDAY Vibe– Last year, I was fortunate to have gone to different countries in Europe and US. But ended up too obnoxiously tired from all of it. I asked my self, How Come?!  Well maybe because the last time, we hurried ourselves too much to complete all the “planned” itineraries on the list. So the idea of being on the solitude, enjoying the place, eating the cuisine has lone been gone. So this time, it will be just all about GREAT QUALITY TIME. In total peace and solitude in one place. Thank God after few months, the idea of travelling excites me again. =)

2. Read a Good Book Everyday – I never appreciates reading after I felt the emptiness inside of me one time. And what I realized is that, bible inspirational quotes, books, and articles definitely gives a good breakers in the early morning rush. I love coming to the office early and have that beautiful readings over a cup of a warm coffee. It just brighten up my day.

3. Give Fitness a Priority – Getting high with the vibe on my 3rd decade on this earth somehow is a nerve-wracking. It’s scary that I’m almost on the halfway of being a senior citizen and still I’m way out of the process of doing something significant. But I realized that instead of dealing things with fear, I’d rather face with enthusiasm for a great day. That’s where I realized that I must challenge myself to be more healthy, fit and toned in the years to come. It’s also like saying, be disciplined and make exercise a lifestyle rather than an option. I am still struggling for this but I’m trying my best.=)

4. Meet as Much as Many People as I Can– Amidst the fact of this life’s convenience and technology everything can come out to be easy. But I am still part of the old era of just succumbing to the used to thing. I hated the challenge of seeing people at some point. Which is kinda vague coz I am extrovert by nature. Well this will be a challenge.=)

5. Know that everything will just be OKAY– I’m guilty! I have been too worrisome in some point. Worries brought me to no where. It’s just making a whole lot of fear and anxiety within. So this time, I will be a worry free bug and will let the future worries for itself.

Here are some of my favorite videos that does help me get away from being crowded with fear:

6. Get the Two Licenses this Year– I could not over emphasize on this, but this is the must be done things for 2015. Well, I hope it will turn out to be great. Fingers crossed!

7. Save Save Save– It’s a challenge this time. I believe that quality of life is very important. But you must not forget to save as well for the future plans. So here’s a thing, I challenged myself to see every bit of opportunity from gaining extra income in some ways possible. Yes this is a bit of a challenge but I already started. I could not stress much emphasis on this.

8. Be the Blessing to Everyone– Kindness begets kindness. This time I just wanted to bring significant change to people’s lives in everyway possible. Time passes by so fast and all I remember is that, as people gets older, and as they accomplished something far better than expected, they seek Significance in someone else’s life and this I think is thMaslow’s last heirarchy of need- Self actualization. Why not do it tomorrow if we can today? =)

How about you? What’s your new perspective this 2015?

Oh yes, I just come to realize that indeed this is our first out of town trip since I went back from PI. And this is also my first post for 2014. Oh my!!! I was preoccupied by (I dunno) actually for the past months. Currently I’m inspired to do this!!! Thank God for some inspiring bloggers who never get tired of doing what they’re passionate about.

Last weekend, we finally headed out to one of the emirate that is about 1:30 hrs away from the city- Fujairah. Taking the time off before buzzling ourselves from the scorching heat of summer. And you know when I mean summer here in Dubai-(47 to 50 degrees). =)

We left Dubai by 10 am.Everybody have the excitement to take a day off from the city and do such R and R. And I mean R and R may mean subjectively to everyone. Veda took her R and R her own way by taking a massage, have a good time of sleep at the realm of the cold relaxing sheets in the hotel. While Jenny and Van took their own time relaxing on the beach, soaking their warm bodies in the cold ocean and trying to achieve the “tan” they hoped for.

While I’m on my way trying to capture best shots that will be remembered for a lifetime. Yes I was on a holiday yet was looking forward to get quality documentation photos. I must say that a time out of the city gives you an ample time to realize how blessed you are to enjoy life as it is.

DSCN7298

The resort offers great amount of ameneties. A huge pool, slides for the children, poolbar for the adults to have a nice chill while enjoyig great music on the side. The beach did not disappoint. Clear, cool, serene and peaceful. That’s why most of us made a great deal to stay on the beach. It compliments the hot weather outside thus letting you get tons of time soaking yourself in the ocean.

There were also numbers of rides to those who are looking forward for some great adventure like flyfish, diving and the likes. To my delight I just had a great time for rest, enjoy the beach and just being at the moment. So before summer rests at its full blown stage, it’s always a great deal of fun to take time off and be a newself again as you go back.

Loving My Special Day

I am exhilaratingly happy for this wonderful day. Totally, I felt this burning love from people around me and people back home. I don’t know how God put things so lightly but I am overwhelmed with the kindness, peace and love by everyone.

Yesterday Sept. 25, I received all wonderful sms from people who inspired me to bring my career to the next level here in lovely city. They all suddenly took time dropping  messages without them knowing that today is my big day.  It was like couple of months that I have not heard from them all.

Thanks for social networking sites and technology I received all the greetings from special people back home that I never heard for long.

All their messages made my day so much special and I can’t thank God enough for all of them. I can’t help but remember the wonderful and amazing experiences with them all. It made me who I am now. I would like to assume, made so much better from before.

Oh too much about that mushy things… So here’s how I celebrated my Big Day in the sand dunes.

20130926_195333_1

It was a running skewers themed night  at the Radisson Blu- Chef’s house, everyone thinks that it would be a nice event to hangout and catch up from weeks of not seeing each other.

Everything was set for 7:00 pm, too bad due to some unforseen events, I arrived half past 7:00 late than my guests. Well not much of a deal everybody seems to enjoy the skewers most especially the endless drinks. Or shall I say, they’re a bit used that I am late…=(

If you are used to dinner brunch in the city, choices for pastries was good. Personally it was enough for me. Seafood skewer was my favorite. Loving the fresh prawn grilled to perfection that was served hot and tasty. Lamb chops and beef chops were tender and juicy. Just enough for my taste. Since it was the highlight I will rate it at 8 from 10.

For the non meat lovers you can have some choices but not as what we are used too.  A one long table for veggies and fruits were served at your preference. Anyway we were there for the good skewer and of course the drinks. =)

I had Merlot for the evening. I must say they have good quality of wine from red, sparkling and white ones. No wonder I had an unforgettable scene later that evening. Well I just had a blast!!! It was indeed unforgettable.

Cheers from my beloved guests.

A Weekend Well Spent – Radisson Royal Hotel

The undeniable charm of a weekend holiday always amuses me with wonders. And a holiday a few minutes away from home? Is a SUPERB idea. =)

Last weekend we are fortunate to booked a  short holiday reservation to Radisson Royal Hotel for a weekend stay. It was a perfect timing though knowing that a good friend will arrive the same weekend. We came to the hotel a little bit late 8:30 than the 4:00 pm reservation. But thanks to Mr. Mohamad Negro and the friendly staff for the prompt and great Superior room they booked us up. I know it was just hours before we booked and it was fabulously done by their staff… Thank you! =)

View On Our Window

Radisson Royal is conveniently located at the heart of Dubai. It was just a walking distance from the metro station. Definitely a tourist friendly location along the Sheikh Zayed Road around 15 minutes cab ride from the airport.

It was a modern, minimalist, Japanese zen inspired hotel that specifically suites our taste. I am a fan of this architectural design. Less cluttery, spacious, elegantly furnished.

20130923153551555_1

A spacious bathroom that made you feel like a queen of the world, bathing in the tub overlooking the view of the city. I was enticed to take a few sip of Chardonnay on a morning weekend rush… Urgh that was fabulous. =) The staff were amazing! From the valet parking hospitality down to the housekeeping staff that is very prompt in handling our needs. I hope I got his name right Arahya from Nepal was too friendly keeping the room well-managed.

We may not appreciate it well sometimes, because if you become used to the skyscraper buildings here in Dubai a 51 floors is just a norm. But I personally love the view that we had, facing the fast phasing Sheikh Zayed Road, Emirates Twin Towers with the beautiful city lights reminded me that I was indeed in a blossoming city.

As usual, it’s just so nice waking up in a most comfortable sheets and pillows having nothing in the itinerary but to sleep, eat and swim. Before headed up into the airport, a sumptuous breakfast at Celsius (M floor) was good. Although I must say that Radisson can do so much better than that with regards to ambiance and food variety. But I must commend that the Turkish Bacon impresses me. lol. It was my first to give it a try.

20130921_092155_1

Later in the afternoon, took a dip in the infinity pool located at the 8th floor of the hotel. It reminded me so much of the great Marina Bay Sands in SG, less the heights and the enormity of the area. Along the corridors going to the pool side is the girls weekend best friend, the Zen Spa… I was tempted to give it a try but the queue of the ladies made me think twice. It must be very good. Maybe I can have a try next time.

Infinity Pool

But the highlight of the total stay would definitely be our Dinner at ICHO, Japanese Cuisine. Located on the 49th-51st floor. The 49th floor was the main dining hall, relaxing japanese ambiance with a very beautiful view of the city. The 50th floor was the Tepanyaki section. A live cooking exhibition by the master chefs was well represented. But since we wanted to have a more cozy ambiance that suits our casual attire we chose to sit on the 49th floor.

20130920_214438_1

The beautiful ambiance compliments much of the Freshest Japanese Sushi I have ever tasted.

20130923153232491_1

We had Toro (tuna belly), Wagyu Fural (wagyu Beef), 12 Varieties of sushi, Tiger Prawn, Ebi Tempura.  But gosh, it was the best Toro and Wagyu I ever tasted YET IN MY LIFE. It made us take a second round for these two. Call it bizarre but few weeks ago I kept on watching Master Jiro in you tube making the best sushi in Japan. It made me realize “why” it takes a fortune to bid in Tsukiji market for the best Tuna. Tastefully delictable, the texture of freshness exhibits the taste of an authentic japanese tuna.

20130920_220234_1

You may find me  exaggerating but it definitely took my breath away! I love the taste of the belly fat that compliments the hotness with the wasabi and the sauce. It was really superb. The wagyu beef’s tenderness was just so distinct that it will make your taste buds crave for more. Oh, It was the best. I totally recommend this for a try. Thanks for Dipin for effortlessly explaining to us the different varieties we had. It was informative and  good way to start a meal (knowing what you eat).

Over all It was an amazing weekend. We wrapped up the weekend with a Percy Jackson in Gold accommodation. I love the comfort of the lazy boy while having a great meal (lunch) on the side. What a week that was. I will definitely look forward for another weekend like no other. Everyone must try it.

25 Random Things About Me

I was browsing around Facebook and found this post on the note of a friend.

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you. (To do this, go to “notes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish.)

I find it both interesting and ambiguous though. This may be a good way to start elaborating to oneself, how you perceived yourself to be… okay let’s get this done. Here are the random things about me…

1. I usually have a cravings for vinegar..I love it =) to the point where I drink it like wine… Especially the hot and spicy one. lol.. Seriously true…

4. With connection to number 3, I too don’t have a good memory. That’s why I’m keeping notes on very important matters. If you will ask me about how I survived accounting? I only remember about the “how” of formula derivation…And please expect me to forget your b-day… =)

5.  I’m a big fan of ALICIA KEYS… And I consider NO ONE- as the best song ever written on this planet.( I must have played that song thousand times ***swear***.)

6. I love dogs very much. And I missed my pets back home =(

7.  I never liked  my legs. I despise the masculine part of it. I had the confidence showing it when I was already working. Realizing that in some part of the world, people find masculine one SEXY=) ughhhh “Big Word!”

8. I have never been totally DRUNK. So pardon me, if I find it all a drama if one says “he/she was drunk and doesn’t know what happened”…coz I may not believe YOU!!!

9. Blame it on my genes but I actually don’t have a nice feet. =(

10.  Being a News Anchor was my first childhood dream.

11. Right now, I see the beauty of quite but brilliant men. Let’s leave the talking to women guys.

12. I wish I know how to swim… Yes shame on me!!!… hmmm but sometimes I think I may just have ZERO confidence on it.

13. I like sports but sports doesn’t liked me. But don’t be amazed of seeing me trying some, I’m not giving up to any of it yet.

14. I  don’t really  get it why people love eating popcorn on movie houses?! yeah seriously…

15. I used to imagine myself that I am a good singer… Singing in the crowd like Alicia Keys did. haha. even now..

16. I planned to see and travel the world as I can. It will definitely be a beautiful adventure everyone has to try.

17. I cannot last a week without talking to my parents. Love my family to death.

18. I have the passion for classic fashion. I believe one has to invest on good, few and lasting one.

19. Earrings is as important as my phone. I feel naked without it.

20.I have the silliest nickname. Jun-jun..nayyyy

21. I tried to light a bulb like Thomas Edison did for personal experiment as a child. But it was a MAJOR FAIL…lol

22.  I am never a fan of a superhero… But if Annie Walker in Covert Affairs would become one,  she is the one I wanted to be. Fierce, Smart, Strong but definitely could wear a good high heels on a red soles.I envy her!!!

23. I’m bad in wrapping gifts and all the girly stuffs. You can never trust me with those.

24. On a good mood I do write. visit my site https://bedazzlemeup.wordpress.com to see how horrible my blogs can be =)

25.  I’m a frustrated interior designer. On the past I was collecting interior magazines and envision it for my house… =)

Night at Murjan- JBR

It’s a Friday again and what else would be better to do in this foreign land is to hangout and share the bliss of living “the life” as we know it.

It is beginning to totally dawn on me that a balance between work and “play” is essential.

Thus, a friend invited us to her place where she has to vacate very soon.  Might as well enjoy it to the fullest.

A Night at Marriott Dubai Hotel and Suites

A Suite Room for a night with friends filled up an exciting experience blast off the last day of July 2013. Me and Sizzy were expecting for a cozy night to get ourselves with. By 4:30 V expected us to be at the hotel. But with the littlest of our expectation we came to the hotel wearing almost on our off to  bed dress code. Came late by 5:30 and were astonished for a group of more than 10 people waiting for us. We were not expecting at all for an afternoon snacks to be served for us. Later did we found out that we have some activities to attend to. yay… Okay so there we are welcomed by the hospitable Marriott hotel staffs. It was like a hotel tour where we got a chance to see the part of the hotel guest don’t usually see and the people behind the success of what a FIVE star service we think about.

We saw the HR department offices, Kitchen, backdoor reception area, service crew department, executive department and  the Observatory hotel lobby. I was amazed how these people manage to keep up with the high expectation of people. They must have loads of patience built up in their system. It’s a tough job!!! Hotel executives are up for a 24/7 call time. Everybody are busy attending their posts but still it was very nice of them to show their hospitable and welcoming personalities to all of us.

After the long tour, we finally got to the hotel suite that we were booked to. It was a massive family home that ps facing a beautiful scenery of Dubai Marina. Kitchen that is all set for family cooking, a 2 rooms with a king bed in the masters and a 2 solo bed on the separate room. A huge living area with some welcoming desserts in the dining. We loved it. We figured out that it would be an ideal space for a family of four… Everyone was mesmerized for a while.

Then dinner starts at the OBSERVATORY. It was my first time in the place. Beautiful indeed at the top of 52nd floor, An unlimited food and drink was served. Spoilt again, but I preferred not to submerge myself again with alcohol beverage and wine… Killjoy me… I had some glasses of orange and apple juice.

Ending ourselves with catching up stories with friends. It was nice bonding experience though but ending myself drinking a glass of coffee. Oh the old me strikes again. I had a great night and love the absence of alcohol on my early morning working day….

20130801_075907

I am just very thankful for all the wonderful opportunities that God has blessed me with. A good friends, a family and  a promising career to start with. As a friend told me, when everything is going well it goes better and better. Who knows what lucky surprises is ahead of me… But this, all I know is that I’m having a great smile =) while writing this….. so long… =)

Wine and Cheese at Bee’s

When it rain it pours… Oh yes that is definitely true.. Got loads of invitations for this week to have this awesome house party since it’s a holy season. My sister and her colleagues were planning to have a “Wine and Cheese” Healthy Style.. Which all of us doubted..lol…

But of course I was looking forward for this because it is a chance to hear a lot of good topics from people from different culture… I realized something though, I was getting really mature..lol… unlike the kidstuff topics I had with my friends back home where we talk about gossip, people and outfits,… We are already talking about RELIGION, POLITICS, CULTURE, TRAVEL, GOVERNMENT, WEDDING, RELATIONSHIP and CAREER… lol,. It was my pleasure hearing from the ” EXPERTS”  though…

But one funny thing remains on the hot seat topic… MEN!!! lol.. Hopefully we get to discuss a little further on it once we all get what we want.lol… okay so long for that…lol

I personally hate hangover ( everybody does I guess) so I was very picky and in control of what I consume… Nonetheless they were right, Cheese when consumed together with Wine no matter how high the alcohol content helps in the body absorption. Thus, yeah you guessed it nobody got drunk…

Somebody Got Lucky… Iftar Night

What amazes me with Dubai is its massive competitions.. We are kinda spoilt in some sort at their massive surprises
of What’s up for grabs… Since it is a Ramadan Time an Iftar night shouldn’t be missed… Somebody got lucky and she got a “coffin of food” for an IFTAR night to be celebrated by none the less than the rest of the guys… yipeee….. It’s a right timing also since it is our get together after my sizzy had her holiday in Europe and the couple Sunny and Barry just came after a fabulous holiday in Canada…

When you are basically new to a place, you make loads and loads of plans. One of the new and exciting plan I made four months ago is to

create regular blogs to the places I see, people I meet, new activities and inspiring experiences that will be immortalized through time. Oh yeah, you got it right… I became too lazy in doing all of those. But now, I feel amazingly inspired to all of those… So pardon me for my late post…. =) But will definitely try my best to do it as often…. (crossing my fingers)

This place is sort of the touristy place in Dubai one must visit to just get the feel and vibe of the city. Anyhow most of the people wonders what is it to be at the tallest building in the world so far… At least you don’t get to pay the fee people often spend and you also get the feel “to be in the tallest building in the world for the time being”
